Meet Sapphire, the one-of-a-kind American Girl.
She was created from a new Truly Me 80 American Girl doll. Her unique eyes are hand painted in glitter gold, green, turquoise, and umber tones. Acrylic paint was used to add feathered eyebrows, delicate eyelashes, champagne shimmer eyeshadow, blush, and cranberry shading with gloss to her lips. Although all paint has been sealed with Professional Liquitex, this doll should be handled gently.
Sapphire's custom twisted ebony wig has been permanently attached with waterproof craft contact adhesive, E6000. Brushing is not recommended due to the style of this hair.
She is wearing a cotton dress designed just for her. It has serged seams and hook and loop closure. The matching hair bow attaches with a metal clip. Her pastel rainbow crocheted bolero has glass pearl beads at the end of the ties. The new turquoise glitter shoes slip on.
I have customized this doll in my smoke-free, pet-free studio. There may be light marks/shines/rubs on the vinyl from handling during customization. I have replaced the zip tie at her neck with a new neck string. Sapphire will arrive with her own Artist's Certificate of Authenticity.
